Ah, so you followed this guide to the letter and ended up with a Netbook paperweight that does nothing more than flash the HDD LED once a second? Goodie, you're in the same boat as everyone else.

If you really bricked it, you did something wrong. But since the flash is protected, it's nearly impossible to do so. You can always recover with a USB thumbdrive.
